a Home away from home in Sechelt

One of the things that used to stress me out about travelling with my kids, was going places and not having everything we needed to have a chill time. Eventually, I realized that travelling with kids is RARELY a chill time, but that is besides the point.

I was an all-or-nothing kind of gal when it came to accommodations: a tent or the four seasons, off-road hot-springs or the Scandinave Spa. This has always thrown my husband for a loop. My love of a fairly frilless exsitence is dappled with these super frilly moments, but hey, I am who I am.

Well, all that to say, when I started staying in some vacation rentals on the Sunshine Coast years ago, I found some Airbnbs were a happy medium. This one is no exception.

Now, this is one of two homes I have photographed under the Joule Stays brand here on the Sunshine Coast. This first Airbnb, can be found in Sechelt, while the second is located in Halfmoon Bay — keep your eyes peeled for that blog coming up in a couple of weeks.

I’m showing our fellow BnB hosts to photos and they all exclaimed, “You have a really good photographer!

A peak into the dining room with black walls!

The kitchen is really well stocked and has lots of natural light.

You won’t find yourself needing to run out to the store for anything you need if you’re planning on cooking at the home.

I love that the Joule Stay AirBnb’s feel like home. If it isn’t the trendy coastal farmhouse decor, then it has to be the wide array of houseplants that makes me feel completely at ease and at home when I walk into their spaces.

This home away from home in Sechelt, boasts 3 bedrooms and each of them are a great size. This would be considered the primary bedroom and also has a little workspace within if you want to stay longer and work remotely.

The bedding is all super clean and trendy and the beds look super comfy.

A stroll down the street will take you to an ocean access with GORGEOUS sunsets, whales, and tranquil moments.

There is also a a couple of killer outdoor spaces: one on the deck, for relaxing and a side yard for letting the kids blow off some steam!
